Toby Kaar

Toby Kaar is a producer and live performer from Cork at the forefront of Ireland’s exciting electronic music scene. He is in his final term as a student of the Bath University Music Technology course. He turned heads with his energetic live sets last summer at Body & Soul festival, the Electric Picnic, Hard Working Class Heroes, Ones to Watch and Castlepalooza, as well as tours with Gold Panda and And So I Watch You From Afar. Although he won’t have any official releases of his own until his college course is completed he has found time to remix Owensie, Funeral Suits, Nouveaunoise, The Cast of Cheers, and Steve Reich for Reich Effect Remix Club. He was recently voted the second Most Exciting New Artist of 2011 in Nialler 9’s Readers Poll, one of Jim Carroll’s 10 Acts to Keep an Eye on in 2012 in the Irish Times and one of State Magazine’s Faces of 2012
