The two chosen artists will join the festival line-up on Sunday, June 1st with the live solo artist performing on the Someplace Else, and the electronic artist will DJ or play live on the Lighthouse stage.
Each of the two emerging artists chosen will receive a fee of €1,000 for their respective performances, plus will receive support across the year from the festival on upcoming releases.
Applicants are required to include a Soundcloud link to a minimum 30min mix, a list of recent events played, and full contact details. The application will not be considered without these.

Skin&Blister
Skin&Blister together with Forbidden Fruit are delighted to announce an open call for for new and developing electronic artists who are Female-identifying, Trans, or Non-Binary based in Ireland to play at this year’s festival and afterparty.
This opportunity is one of three emerging talent programs being organized for this year’s festival, specifically focusing on and supporting female-identifying, trans, and non-binary persons only. The artist must be currently based in Ireland and have played a minimum of one event previously.
The chosen artist will share festival stages with the likes of Peggy Gou, Jazzy, Yaeji and more, as well as play the FF Night show at Yamamori Tengu on Saturday May 31st. The emerging artist chosen will also receive a fee of €1,000 and one-to-one preparation time prior to the festival with Skin&Blister DJs. The runner-up artist will also be given the opportunity to play at the festival and afterparty and receive a fee of €500.
Skin&Blister is a platform that nurtures and encourages female, trans, and non-binary creatives in the realm of music and the arts in Ireland. The collective shines a light on what stops Dublin from being at the forefront of safe and progressive dance floors and provides the space needed to become one through workshops, lectures, and mentoring. Skin&Blister is driven by the prospect of an all-encompassing balanced and inclusive nightlife scene with fresh faces at its forefront.

Forbidden Fruit has called the city centre home for over a decade, and we know the festival wouldn’t be what it is without the people and culture of the surrounding community.
This year, we’re inviting applications from musicians and DJs living in Dublin 8 to join the lineup. Whether you’re emerging or established, we’re looking to provide a platform for local artists to share their work at the festival.
